External Competitions

MHBC currently take part in the following competitions against other clubs in North London.

Cornish Shield

Format is 2 triples (6 players) against opposition clubs with Home and Away fixtures played on a Thursday evening at 6pm from May to August. Each bowler plays 3 bowls, and the game lasts for 18 ends.  Dress code is grey trousers / shorts / skirts and a white top. We won the competition in 2025!

Prescott Cup

Format is 3 triples (9 players) against opposition clubs with Home and Away fixtures played on a Saturday afternoons at 2pm from May to August. Each bowler plays 3 bowls, and the game lasts for 18 ends.  Dress code is white trousers / shorts / skirts and top.

Prentice Cup

Format is two rinks (8 players) playing against clubs on a Tuesday evening in June/July at 6.00 in the evening, with 4 playing at home and 4 away. Each bowler plays 2 bowls, and the game lasts for 18 ends. Dress code is grey trousers / shorts / skirts and a white top. 

Monday North London League

Format is one triple (3 players) playing against each of the clubs once over May/June/July. Each club will host the competition games on a designated Monday: in 2026 our home Monday is 29 June. 6pm start, 8pm finish.

Presidents Cup

Format is a knockout competition between North London Clubs. 4 players, 2 woods each, Home or away depending on the draw, played on Sunday mornings at 10am.
